Evey Cleaners employeesThis is a photo of employees at Evey Cleaners in the late 1940's. Evey Cleaners was located in the 500 block of Oak Street immediately north of the building presently occupied by Joe's Pizza. The building is no longer there.The persons that can be identified are Margaret Gerdes on the left, Joe Chiola who is third from the left, Clarence Block who is third from the right, and John Evey, owner of the cleaners, is second from the right and Benny Yochum is at the far right. Evey bought the cleaners from Yochum. If anyone recognizes the remaining individuals, please contact us. |
