Lucille Schoof, 78 - March 21, 2005

Lucille Schoof, 78, of 844 N. Chestnut St., Minonk, died at 2:30 a.m. Monday (March 21, 2005) at OSF Saint James-John W. Albrecht Medical Center, Pontiac.

Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Calvert & Froelich Memorial Home, Minonk, with the Rev. James O. Wolfe III officiating. Burial will follow in Rutland Cemetery, Rutland. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday at the memorial home.

Memorials may be made to donor's choice. Mrs. Schoof's pallbearers will be her grandchildren.

She was born Oct. 6, 1926, in Depue, the daughter of Ira and Luella Eggers Miller. She married Dean H. "Red" Schoof on Jan. 22, 1971, in Ottawa. He survives.

Also surviving are four sons, Larry (Elsie) Bromley of Hot Springs, Ark.; Russell (Beverly) Marsack of Dekalb, Texas; Frank (Cindy) Marsack of Orange, Texas; and Carl (Patricia) Marsack of Bloomington; two daughters, Kathryn (Robert) Ebersole of Peoria; and Christine (Tom) Palmore of Minonk; two sisters, Alice Middleton of Rutland; and Daisy Kopec of Cherry; 14 grandchildren, Brandi Bromley, Neil (Ashley) Marsack, Joshua (Cassie) Marsack, Elizabeth (Matt) Morris, Sarah and Rebekah Marsack, Jason (Rhodora) Ebersole, Adam Ebersole, Holly (Chad) Letcher, Alison Ebersole, Aaron, Brian, Chad, and Dylan Palmore; and five great-grandchildren, Austin and Gavin Palmore, Lillian and Collin Morris and Alayna Letcher.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, one brother and one son.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pontiac. She had worked in the Dietary Department at Beulah Land Christian Home, Flanagan, and last worked at Monte Casino Nursing Home in Toluca.
