Irene E. Reed, 94, of 412 Walnut St., Minonk, died at 5:20 p.m. Monday (Feb. 14, 2005) at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, El Paso.

She was born Oct. 21, 1910, in LaRose, to Enoch and Anna Meinhold Ruch. She married Raymond Reed on Jan. 21, 1931, in Washburn. He died March 22, 1994.

Surviving are one daughter, Donna Rae (Russell) Eilts, Minonk; one son, Alvin (Carol) Reed, El Paso; two granddaughters, Arlene (Steve) Stricker, Florence, Ky.; and Julie Ann Eilts, Phoenix, Ariz.; and two great-grandchildren, Aaron and Rhiannon Stricker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and three sisters.

She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ and St. Paul's Ladies Association.

Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home, Minonk, the Rev. Daniel Gansch-Boythe officiating. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Minonk Township Cemetery.
