George A. "Butch" Parks, 65 of Manito, Formerly of Beardstown, Minonk, died Tuesday, April 05, 2005, at his residence.
Born July 20, 1939, in Beardstown to Charles Allen and Alvina "Beanie" Steen Parks.
Surviving are one son, George of Minonk, Theresa (and David) Curless of Peoria and Julie (and Andy) Murray of Bradenton Fla.
One Brother Jack (and Sherie) of Keller TX., Three sisters, Mary Lael of Springfield, Patsy Noppe of Peoria Heights,
and Helen (and Charles) Lintner of Beardstown: and four Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and triplet siblings.
An Army Veteran, he served in Europe, Korea and Vietnam and was a member of American Legion Post 2910 in Havana and a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars post in Manito.
He worked for Caterpillar Inc. in east Peoria for more than 30 years.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Sager Funeral Home.The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Beardstown City Cemetery.
