METAMORA -- Mabel L. Krahling, 82, of 1200 E. Partridge St., Metamora,
formerly of 917 E. Kay St., Morton, died at 4:05 p.m. Wednesday (July
13, 2005) at Snyder Village Health Center in Metamora.

She was born Sept. 4, 1922, in Clayton Township, Woodford County, to
Henry Sr. and Mary Meinhold Matter. She married Lloyd A. Krahling on
June 20, 1950, in Minonk. He preceded her in death on July 3, 2005. She
was also preceded in death by her parents; eight brothers; and seven
sisters.

Surviving are two sisters-in-law, Velma Matter of Minonk, and Ella Matter of Streator; and several nieces and nephews.

She cleaned houses in the Morton and Minonk areas for more than 25 years.

She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church.

Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home in
Morton, the Rev. Brian Pape officiating. Visitation will be from 9 to
10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Minonk Township
Cemetery.
