Donald H. Cremer, 74 - February 24, 2005

BLOOMINGTON -- Donald H. Cremer, 74, of 2407 Kaitlyn Drive, Bloomington, formerly of Minonk, died at 8:30 a.m. Thursday (Feb. 24, 2005) at his residence.

His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home, 775 N. Chestnut St., Minonk. The Rev. Richard Olson and Dr. Harry Sanders will officiate. Burial will be in Minonk Township Cemetery, Minonk. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Donald was born Jan. 28, 1931, at rural Minonk, a son of Herman and Esther Gerner Cremer. He married Kay Fosdick on June 1, 1958, at Flanagan. She survives in Bloomington.

Other survivors include one daughter, Brenda (Michael) Fogarty, Port Charlotte, Fla.; one son, Brian (Sherry) Cremer, Bloomington; one sister, Marian (Henry) Buckner, Shepherdstown, W.Va.; one brother, Richard (Claudette) Cremer, Washington; and three grandchildren, Nicholas Fogarty, Rachel Cremer and Hannah Cremer.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Don was a member of the First Baptist Church, Minonk. He farmed in the Minonk area for more than 54 years and was a seed corn dealer for several years. He also was employed by the Internal Revenue Service at the Central Area Distribution Center in Bloomington for 17 years. He was a member of the Woodford County Farm Bureau.
