Darlene A. Wragge, 86, of Minonk died at 12:15 p.m. Friday (April 2, 2010) at St. Mary’s Hospital, Streator.

Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Minonk, with the Rev. Jan Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Minonk Township Cemetery, Minonk. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Calvert & Froelich Memorial Home, Minonk.

Memorials may be made to Willing Workers at the church.

Darlene was born Oct. 31, 1923, in Linn Township, Woodford County, the daughter of Henry and Dena Schoon Matter Jr. She married Harold W. Wragge on June 9, 1946, in Minonk. He died March 8, 2006.

Surviving is a son, Daryle W. (Joan Anderson) Wragge of Wenona; three grandchildren, Gretchen (Bryan) Hsu, Samual (Sarah) Wragge and Christopher Wragge; and a great-grandson, Nathaniel Wragge.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Darlene was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Minonk. She was a member of the Birthday Club of 1923 and a member of Linn Township Home Bureau for many years.

She enjoyed the farm life and was a very devoted farm homemaker. She also enjoyed gardening, flowers and was an avid quilter.
