Obituary: Carolyn K. Welch, 87 - June 6, 2018
Carolyn K. Welch, 87, of Minonk, IL passed away at 11:59p.m. on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at OSF St Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington, IL.

She was born on April 2, 1931 in Minonk, IL a daughter of Joseph W. and Barbara Reinhardt Ioerger. She married Robert D. Welch on November 25, 1949 in Tunica, MS. He passed away on April 27, 2000.

Survivors include two daughters, Jane(Rick) Tedrick of Clinton; Janet Welch-Pick(Jerry Pick) of Pontiac; three sons, Jerry(Michelle) Welch of Minonk; Jan(Janet) Welch of Woodstock, GA; James( Diane) Welch of Dana; two sisters, Lois( Larry) Bearss of Minonk; Joan Blackmore of El Paso; two daughters-in-law, Nancy Stine of Minonk; Connie Welch of Flanagan; 18 grandchildren, Brian Welch, Jae Butler, Edward Stine, Jeff Welch, Keith Weber, Beth Weldy, Jamie Welch, Jeremy Welch, Stephanie Hudson, Rick Butler, Katelyn Stites, Madison Butler, Justin Welch, Jenna Howe, Drew Read, Lucas Read, Catie O'Dell and Robert Stevens; 25 great grandchildren; one great great grandson; grand dogs and grand cats; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, John and Joe Welch; brother, Donald Ioerger and brother-in-law, Lowell Blackmore.

Carolyn was a loving homemaker taking care of the family when they needed her most.She enjoyed quilting, sewing, gardening, cooking and was famous for her cinnamon rolls, tea rings and her potato salad.

She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Minonk where she belonged to the St. Paul's Ladies.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00a.m. on Monday, June 11, 2018 at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Minonk. Pastor Ed Sinclair will officiate. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 10, 2018 from 4-7p.m. at the church and also one hour prior to services at the church on Monday. Burial will be in Baughman Cemetery in rural Minonk. Arrangements are being handled by Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Minonk.
