WENONA — Mary M. Weiland, 83, Wenona, died at 8:03 a.m. Saturday (April 3, 2010) at St. John’s Medical Center, Springfield.

Visitation will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Calvert & Froelich Memorial Home, Toluca. Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Rutland. The Rev. Neri Greskoviak will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Minonk. Memorials may be made in the form of Masses or to the American Heart Association.

Mary was born June 13, 1926, at Rutland, to Henry and Mary Paradotti Jacobs. She married Raphael “Rip” D. Weiland on Oct. 21, 1944, at Rutland. He preceded her in death on April 21, 1998.

Surviving are two daughters, Lynn Aeschliman, Benson, and Kathy (Craig) Greskoviak, rural Dana; two sons, James (Debbie) Weiland, Rutland, and Randy (Carol) Weiland, Canton; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Her parents, one brother and two sisters preceded her in death.

Mary was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Rutland. She had worked for 21 years as a waitress at Harold’s Restaurant, Rutland.

She was very much loved by her family and was always happy to have them together at family gatherings.
