Richard A. Volk, 76, a resident of St. Mary's Square Living Center, Galesburg, formerly of Minonk, died Thursday (Oct. 29, 2009) at Galesburg Cottage Hospital, Galesburg.

Service: 2:30 p.m. Monday at Calvert & Froelich Memorial Home, Minonk, with the Rev. Craig Hislope officiating. Special memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Living Center, Galesburg, in the all-purpose room, with the Rev. David Cramer officiating.

Burial: St. Patrick's Cemetery, Minonk.

Visitation: 1 to 2:30 p.m. Monday at the memorial home.

Memorials: American Diabetes Association or St. Mary's Square Living Center, 239 S. Cherry St., Galesburg.

Survivors: his sister-in-law/advocate, Christina Volk, Bartonville; two brothers, Robert Volk, Greenview, and Ronald (Cheryl) Volk, Rutland; and one sister, Lila (Donald) Stith, Streator.
