Mary E. Tesch, 93 - September 23, 2006

Washburn: Mary E. Tesch, 93, of MortonTerrace Health Care Center and formerly of Washburn, died at 10:20 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, 2006, at the Care Center.

She was born June 7, 1913, in Washburn, the daughter of Charles B. and Bertha M. (Black) Robbins. She married Fred W. Tesch on May 17, 1958, in Washburn. He preceded her in death on Dec. 30, 2000.

Surviving are one son, Doug (Mara) Robbins of Morton; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great grandchildren. Other close relatives in this area is a sister-in-law, Rachel Thorpe of Minonk, nieces, Barb (Roger) Petri of Minonk, Judy Davis, Rutland nephews; Ken (Karen) Baker, Minonk, Allen (Paula) Baker, Rutland; and Terry (Susan) Baker of Wenona.

Her parents, one daughter, Marilyn Bond, one grandson, Troy, five brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.

Mrs. Tesch graduated from Washburn High School. She owned and operated Mary's Cafe in Washburn for over 25 years.

She was a member of the Washburn United Presbyterian Church and was a charter member of Washburn American Legion Auxiliary.

Funeral Services were heldThursday at Calvert-Johnson-McKitrick Memorial Home in Washburn, with the Rev. Roy Backus officiating. Burial followed in Linn-Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Washburn.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the Harbor Light Hospice.

She was a loving person that cared about everyone. She will be dearly missed by all. We loved her very much.
