Robin Skaggs Richardson, 36, Minonk, passed away at 9:40 a.m. Tuesday (May 4, 2010) at Advocate Eureka Hospital. She was a resident of the Roanoke Apostolic Christian Home.

Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home, Minonk. The Rev. Jan Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Minonk Township Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions in Robin’s name may be made to the Roanoke Apostolic Christian Home.

She was born Nov. 18, 1973, in Streator, a daughter of David Skaggs and Peggy Smith Koch.

Robin is survived by her daughter, Kayla; her mother, Peggy (Jim Brown) Koch; her father David (Susan) Skaggs, all of Minonk; two sisters, Jessica Fillipponi, LeRoy, and Lindsey Skaggs, Wenona; two brothers, Michael Koch, Minonk, and D.J. Skaggs, Gridley; her stepfather, Gary Koch, Toluca; two nieces; and two nephews.

She was preceded in death by all of her grandparents.

She loved to sing and was in madrigals and chorus. Her favorite song was “The Rose.”

Kayla was the light of her mother’s life. Robin was loved dearly and will be greatly missed.
