EUREKA — Roberta S. Pinney, 70, of Eureka passed away at 9:50 a.m. Monday (April 19, 2010) at Advocate Eureka Hospital.

She was born April 18, 1940, in Streator, a daughter of Robert D. and Mildred Edna Welch Cremer. She married Norman R. Pinney on June 6, 1970, in Peoria. He died Jan. 6, 2002.

Survivors include one brother, James F. (Melissa) Cremer, Normal; a brother-in-law, Alan Koehler; a sister-in-law, Barbara Lewellen, Florida; nieces, Kate Geary, Davenport, Fla.; Ann Ball, Oswego; and Jill Donaldson  and Kara Stojengin, both of Bloomington; nephews, David (Pam) Lewellen, Davenport, Fla.; Dan (Rita) Lewellen, Haines City, Fla.; Richard (Sharon Frank) Lewellen, Peoria; and C.J. Cremer, Bloomington; many great-nieces and great-nephews; and friends Joyce (Lewis) Erickson and Jim (Dixie) Kaufman, both of Eureka.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Cydney Koehler.

She was a member of St. Luke’s Catholic Church, Victorious Missionaries and Our Lady’s Rosary Makers. She was active in knitting for charity.

A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Maple Lawn Health Center’s assembly room, Eureka. The Rev. Doug Hicks will officiate. Burial of ashes at Olio Township Cemetery will follow the memorial service. A memorial Mass will be at St. Luke’s Catholic Church at a later date. Argo-Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home, Eureka, is handling arrangements.
