Daniel E. Pearman, 78, Minonk, died at 6:42 p.m. Saturday (March 8, 2008) at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Minonk.
Cremation rites will be accorded with the inurnment at a later date in Walnut Valley Memorial Park in El Dorado, Kan. Arrangements are being handled by Calvert & Froelich Memorial Home, Minonk.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Minonk.
He was born Jan. 19, 1930, in El Dorado, Kan., the son of Daniel E. and Trilba Remmert Pearman. He married JoAnn Betty on Aug. 14, 1954, in El Dorado, Kan. She survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Tina (David) Howell, Minonk; one son, Dennis (Tami) Pearman, Forest Grove, Ore.; two sisters, Shirley (Jack) McDowell, California, and Pat Skidmore, Salina, Kan.; one stepsister Opal (Melvin) Redburn, Wichita, Kan; four grandchildren, Matthew and Nicholas Pearman and Patrick and Nicole Howell; and two great-grandchildren, Kaleb and Kourtland Embery.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a stepmother Mary Pearman; one son Timmy Pearman; and four brothers and sisters.
He retired from DuPont in El Paso, where he worked in the maintenance department.
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran serving in the Korean War.
