Carole 'Kay' Morley, 72 - May 05, 2007

Carole 'Kay' Morley of Sandwich, formerly of Rutland, passed away on Saturday, May 5, 2007 at Provena Mercy Medical Center in Aurora.  She had been ill since March.

She was born on Jan. 18, 1935 in Streator, to Everett and Ardell Ekstrom of Dana.  She married Donald Morley on Dec. 12, 1981.  He survives.

Kay was a self-employed hair stylist for many years in Rutland.  She loved to travel, read, paint and go fishing.  She will always be remembered for her ability to tell good jokes and for teaching her kids "not to sweat the small stuff."  She will be greatly missed and never forgotten.

She is survived by her daughter, Cindy (Don) Shelby of Minonk; one step-daughter, Dawn (Tim) Nauman of Yorkville; one son, Jeffrey Brown of Sugar Grove; one step-son, Scott Morley of Harrisburg;  five grandchildren and one great grandson.  She is also survived by her sister, Joyce (John) Glowacki of Rutland.

Kay requested no visitation or memorial services following cremation.  She preferred people remember good times with her when she was alive.  Her ashes will remain with her husband until he passes away, then be spread on Jesse Lake, Minnesota, a favorite vacation spot for them.
