John A. "Bud" Millard, 91, of Hot Springs Village, AR, passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at an area hospital. He was born November 5, 1919 in Chicago, IL to Homer K. and Viola Vissering Millard.
Bud was a U. S. Navy veteran of WWII and the Korean Conflict. He was a retired commercial pilot for United Airline. He was a Mason and Kiwanian and a member of Village United Methodist Church.
He was predeceased by his parents; sons, Ronald and Steve Millard; and Aunt Tutu. Bud is survived by his wife of 33 years, Shirley "June" Millard of Hot Springs Village; daughter, Jane Millard and husband James Kulish of Ames, IA; stepdaughter, Judy Vallas of IL; stepson, Jay Johnston of Bastrop, TX; seven grandchildren, Jeremy, Nicole, Stephanie, Mollie, Michelle, Lori and Melinda; three great grandchildren, Jordyn, Victoria and Grace; two step great grandchildren, Troy and Kacey; and daughter-in-law, Sharon Millard.
Memorial service will be 11:00 AM, Friday, October 7, 2011 at Village United Methodist Church with Rev. Thomas Jarrell officiating.
