Anne McKay, 82 - September 27, 2009

Anne McKay, 82, Minonk, passed away at 2:55 a.m. Sunday (Sept. 27, 2009) at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Minonk, where she was a resident.

Her funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Minonk. Fr. Luke Poczoworski will officiate. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery, Minonk. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home, Minonk. There will be a rosary service at 7 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Apostolic Christian Home for the Handicapped in Morton, St. Patrick's Catholic Church or OSF St. James-John W. Albrecht Hospice Program.

She was born April 3, 1927, in El Paso, a daughter of Daniel C. and Mary A. O'Rourke Kearney. She married James "Windy" McKay on Feb. 16, 1951, in Bloomington. He passed away on Sept. 16, 1994.

Surviving are two sons, Michael (Cathy) McKay and Joseph (Casi) McKay, both of Minonk; five daughters, Joan (Kevin) Glowacki, Minonk; Marty (John) Koos, El Paso; Mary Lou (Tim) Andacht, Bolingbrook; Katie (Roger) Boswell, Morton; and Lee Anne McKay, Morton; one sister, Patricia Kearney, Cornville, Ariz.; 13 grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and three sisters.

Anne was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and the Altar and Rosary Society at the church.
