Vernon L. Matter, 82, Minonk, died at 6:11 p.m. Monday (Aug. 22, 2011) at St. Mary’s Hospital, Streator.

Burial: Private inurnment at a later date in Minonk Township Cemetery. Cremation rites were accorded.

Calvert-Johnson & Froelich Memorial Home, Minonk, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Memorials: to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Survivors: his wife, Dorothy M. Matter, Minonk; and his sister, Esther Wolfanger, Streator.
