Joanne was born in Rutland, Illinois, June 26, 1933 to Robert William and Anna Elizabeth Swanberg Cinnamon. Her birthplace was the family homestead of her great grandfather Robert Cinnamon of Ireland.
She graduated from Minonk-Dana High School and was employed by State Farm Insurance Company. She entered the Civil Service, working at Yokota Army Base in Japan from 19541956. Following her overseas time, she worked in a Chicago marketing firm where she met and married Chris Mantikos in August, 1958. Shortly after, they moved to Staten Island, New York, and were divorced in 1984.
She retired from Western Union where she had been employed as a Personnel Specialist. In 1994 she relocated to Moab, Utah, and became an active member of the community, assisting with the Moab Music Festival, cooking meals for the seniors of the community and participated in the elementary school reading program. She worked at Pack Creek Resort for a short time. She was a member of the Community Church. Joanne was an avid reader and was an accomplished amateur photograper.
She is survived by sisters Gladys Alleman of Tonica, IL, Mabel Schneider of Paradox, CO; brothers Jim Cinnamon of Minonk, IL, Gary Cinnamon of Sacramento, CA and Steve Cinnamon of Omaha, NE. She has 16 nephews and nieces and 21 grand nephews and nieces and several great-grand nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Robert and her divorced husband.

Memorial Services were held Monday, December 29 at 5:00 pm at the Community Church, 544 MiVida Drive, Moab. A graveside service in Dana will occur later this year.
