Eva M. Ludwig, 85, of 2942CR 00N, Minonk, passed away at 9:47 a.m. Wednesday (April 12, 2006) at her residence, where she has been a hospice patient for nearly one year.

Eva was born Aug. 13, 1920, at Shawneetown, a daughter of Edmund and Chloe Starkey Hogan. She married Bernard ``Ben'' Ludwig on Aug. 6, 1945, at Shawneetown. He died July 31, 1999.

Survivors include two sons, Donald (Helen) Ludwig, Minonk, and Dennis (Michelle) Ludwig, El Paso; six grandchildren, D. Troy (Leslie) Ludwig, Minonk; Da'na (Charles) Flynn II, Ellisville; David T. Ludwig, Minonk; David L. Ludwig, Danielle Ludwig and Kaitlyn Ludwig, all of El Paso; six great-grandchildren, Katherine Flynn, Charles Flynn III, Keganne Ludwig, Alexandrea Ludwig, Jacilyn Ludwig and Ellianna Ludwig; one brother, Albert Hogan, Peoria; and numerous nieces and nephews..

She was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 Friday at Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home, El Paso. A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Swan Lake Memory Gardens, Peoria. Chaplain Stephanie Soon will officiate. Memorial contributions may be directed to Shy Drager Syndrome research at the Mayo Clinic, BroMenn Hospice, Minonk Emergency Squad or any charity of the donor's choice.

Mrs. Ludwig was employed at McDaniels Nursing Home in El Paso. She, along with her husband and son, owned and operated B and D Locker Room in El Paso.

Eva was a homemaker; and she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed.
