Obituary: Sharon J. Lindley, 81 - October 23, 2017
Sharon J. Lindley, 81, of Minonk, passed away 9:40 p.m. Monday (Oct. 23, 2017) at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center, Normal.

Cremation rites were accorded. A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Thursday at United Methodist Church, Minonk, with the Rev. Kenneth L. Harris officiating. Visitation will be 11 a.m. Tuesday until time of service at the church. Memorials may be made to Minonk United Methodist Church. Calvert-Johnson & Froelich Memorial Home, Minonk, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Sharon was born Sept. 15, 1936, in LaCrosse, Wis., the daughter of H.E. and Vada Yeoman Deyo.

She married Kenneth D. Lindley on Aug. 28, 1954, in LaCrosse, Wis. He survives along with six children, Zoe Small, Wadsworth, Ohio; Jeffery (Cheryl) Lindley, Phelan, Calif.; Kevin Lindley, Minonk; Renee (John) Harris, Mattoon; Denise (Mike) Robinson, Akron, Ohio; and Neal (Shannon) Lindley, Vallejo, Calif.; two sisters, Dixie Fewell and Lorna (David) Schildman, both of LaCrosse, Wis.; 22 grandchildren; and 37 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Michael; one son-in-law, Ricky Small; and one brother-in-law, Carl Fewell.

Sharon was a member of Minonk United Methodist Church. She worked at Heritage Health, El Paso, for 20 years, retiring in 2001. Sharon was a loving wife, mom, sister, grandma and great-grandma who enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
