Anne M. Land, 83, Minonk, died at 7 p.m. Saturday (Oct. 24, 2009) at Heritage Manor of Minonk.

Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Calvert & Froelich Memorial Home, Minonk. The Rev. Mel Nielson will officiate. Burial will follow at Minonk Township Cemetery, Minonk. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the memorial home. There will be visitation one hour prior to the service Wednesday. Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church of Minonk or the Minonk Ambulance Fund.

Anne was born May 1, 1926, in Minonk, daughter of Frank and Velma Wisocki Jankousky. She married Charles W. Land on April 1, 1945, at Eureka. He preceded her in death on July 2, 2002.

Surviving are one daughter, Marianne (Larry) Oglesby, Normal; one son, Tim (Penny) Land, Minonk; five grandchildren, Rebecca (Mark) Messamore, Eric (Stacy) Land, Delci (Chris) Gaizat, Mc Lean (Sandra) Oglesby and Cory Land; and three great-grandchildren, Jacob, Kayla and Sabrina Messamore.

One son, David Land; her parents; two brothers; and three sisters preceded her in death.

Anne graduated from Minonk High School. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Minonk. She was employed as a salesperson for Evergreen FS.
