Irma H. Kuehl, 89 - February 19, 2007

Irma H. Kuehl, 89, of 106 N. Walnut St., Minonk, passed away at 2 a.m. Monday (Feb. 19, 2007) at Good Samaritan Home in Flanagan.

She was born Oct. 23, 1917, in Groveland Township, LaSalle County, a daughter of John and Elizabeth Shandel Loftus. She married Howard Kuehl on May 20, 1939, in Davenport, Iowa. He died Feb. 3, 1987.

Survivors include two daughters, Linda (Wendell) Vissering, Flanagan; Sally (Gary) Massino, Ohio, IL; three grandsons, Jeff (Diane) Vissering, Brook, Ind.; Brad Vissering, Bloomington; and Scott Massino, Rockford; and three great-grandchildren, Megan, Kurt and Nate Vissering.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, a twin sister who died at birth and two brothers.

Irma worked more than 50 years for the Robert Morrison family, most of those years at the Morrison Agency in Minonk.

In her younger years, she played on the Woodford County Kittenball softball team.

Irma had 25 years of perfect attendance with the Scatter Pins bowling league.

Her funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Minonk, where she was a member. Father Luke Poczworowski will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Minonk and one hour prior to the service Friday at the church. Burial will be at St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery, Minonk.
