Mary Ruth Koch, 76 - October 16, 2008

Mary Ruth Koch age 76 of Minonk  passed away at 9:35pm Thursday Oct.  16, 2008  at her residence surrounded by her family.

She was born  August 28, 1932 in McLeansboro, Il. to Clarence Elvis and Dortha Marie  (Hollister) Daily. She married Robert Dean Koch of Benson Il. at her 
parents house on June 10, 1950 in McLeansboro Il. He died July 22,  1994.

Surviving are his children Connie and Joe Welch of Flanagan,  Il., Gary Koch of Toluca,  Il., Debra and Don Cruise of Normal, Il., and Michelle and Kevin Mitchey of Pontiac, Il.

Grandchildren: Keith and Kristi Weber of Energy Il., Beth and Brian Weldy of Urbana IL., Robin (Skaggs) Richardson of Roanoke, Il., Jessica and Mario Fillipponi of LeRoy, Il., Michael Koch of Minonk, Il., Kassie Masching,  Brandon Wargo , Erik, Matthew, and Joshua Mitchey all of Pontiac Il.

Great grandchildren Kenneth, Kelby and Keegan Weber all of Energy, Il., Sophia Fillipponi of LeRoy Il., Klayton Koch of Wenona, Il., and  Kayla Richardson of Minonk, Il.  Mary was preceded in death by one infant sister, one sister, one brother, and a great grandson Keelan Weber.

Mary graduated from McLeansboro High School in 1950. She had worked at 
the Dwight Prison. For many years she was a caregiver at Minonk Lida 
Nursing Home, and Asta Care Nursing Home in Toluca, and the Good 
Samaritian Home in Flanagan. She also worked in sales and Editor for
the Minonk News Dispatch. Mary loved working in her yard tending to 
her flowers. She loved her Family and spending time with her 
grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mary was a wonderful “go-go” 
grandmother.

Mary’s family wants to express their gratitude to OSF Hospice in 
Pontiac Il.

Services will be at 11:00am  Monday Oct. 20, 2008 at the Mason Funeral 
Home Metamora Chapel. Reverend Elyse Nelson Winger officiating. 
Visitation will be from 10am until service time. Burial will be in 
Oakwood Cemetery in Metamora. Memorials can be made to Minonk Garden 
Club, Minonk Ambulance, and or donors choice.
