MARSEILLES — Frank C. Halagiere, 91, passed away peacefully at his home in Marseilles on Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2011.

He was born on Dec. 18, 1919, in Minonk, Ill., the third of eight children.

Frank was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Lenore Schaefer Halagiere, and his parents, Francis Stanley Halagiera and Bernice Glowacki.

He is mourned by four children, Carolyn Lengh of Mequon, Wis., twins, Jane Martin and Jean Heuer, both of Bloomington, Ind., and Larry Halagiere of Ottawa; six grandchildren, Heather Billings, Josh Halagiere, Arianne Scott, Abbey Johnston, Jean-Claire Mensz and Wesley Martin; and six great-grandchildren, Isabella, Lainey, Alex, Gavin, Lydia and Liam.

Frank was surrounded by love throughout his life and enjoyed 21 years of his retirement in a quiet wooded area, filled with birds and trees. He will be loved and remembered by friends and family.

A private ceremony was Friday, Sept. 30, 2011, at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home in Marseilles. Burial was in Riverview Cemetery in Marseilles.
