BLOOMINGTON - William Joseph Guinnee, 69, of 803 Four Seasons Road, Bloomington, died at 2:59 p.m. Wednesday (Feb. 6, 2008) at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.
His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Carmody-Flynn Williamsburg Funeral Home, Bloomington, with the Rev. Gregg Petri officiating.
Private burial will be at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Minonk.
Visitation will be for one hour prior to services Monday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Church or Cedar Lake Fellowship, both in Bloomington.
He was born Jan. 12, 1939, in Bloomington, a son of Clarence and Madelyn Enright Guinnee. He married Joyce Dodson. He later married Alice Hyneman on Nov. 6, 1972. She died Nov. 8, 2003.
Surviving are three daughters, Tina M. Spencer, Teresa (John) Moore and Tammara (Paul) Castillo; three sons, William J. (Jamie) Volk, Daniel L. (Melissa) Volk and Randy (Ingrid) Volk; three stepdaughters, Linda (Tommie) Roberts, Amy Vittitoe and Julie Matlock; two sisters, Barbara Beavers and Janet (Gary) Harms; one brother, Tom (Lynda) Guinnee; 22 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and one brother.
Bill grew up in the Minonk-El Paso area. He served in the U.S. Army and attended St. Mary's Church, Bloomington. He was an electronics technician, a television repairman and a Hammond Organ repair specialist. Bill worked at the former Miller Music Co., Arteman's TV, Kelly's TV, Feys Electronics, Bayless TV, and owned and operated his own TV repair shop, "YES T.V.", in Clearwater, Fla. He was highly respected and well-known in the Central Illinois area for his expertise in his trade.
Bill loved his grandchildren and especially loved his newest pet cat, Kelsey. He enjoyed reminiscing about his boyhood days at his grandparents' farm. He always had a good story to tell, and he and his wife, Alice, loved to travel together.
He will be missed more than words can ever say by everyone who loved him.
