Kathi Grampp, 61, of Ferguson Mo., passed away March 19, at her home, surrounded by family and hospice care. Kathi spent most of her life in the St. Louis area with her five siblings. Kathi graduated with honors from St. Louis University and spent 27 years working at the National Labor Relations Board as an investigator, Compliance Officer, and Supervisor.
After being forced into early retirement due to health reasons, Kathi became an active volunteer with the YMCA adult literacy program, and the Y-read program working with children.
She and her husband Don welcomed foreign exchange students to their home from France, Italy, Netherlands, Germany, Slovakia, Hungary, Serbia, Romania, and Austria. Kathi is preceded in death by daughter Loma. She is survived by her husband of 40 years Don, son Adam (Miya), daughter Jana (Carl) Jansson, Siblings Michael (Tami) Lueders, James (Vicki) Lueders, Jeffery (Denise), Lueders, Rick (Tammy) Lueders, and Lora (Bob) Hasinbiller, Brother in law Ralph (Ann) Grampp and sister in lay Joyce (Jerry) Hochstatter She will be missed by extended family and friends.
A memorial service will be held Sunday May 2 at the Savoy Banquet center in Ferguson Mo. Memorials may be made to your local YMCA Literacy Program.
