Arlene M. Budde Godar, 51, Peoria, passed away at 2:39 a.m. Wednesday (Jan. 12, 2011) at Methodist Medical Center, Peoria.

Her funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home, Minonk. The Rev. Ray Barclay will officiate. Burial will be in Minonk Township Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. before the service Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Diabetes Association or a charity of the donor’s choice.

She was born Sept. 3, 1959, in Pontiac, a daughter of Herman T. and D. Darlene Decker Budde. She married Thomas D. Godar on Sept. 6, 1980, in Minonk. He survives.

Also surviving are her mother, D. Darlene Budde, Flanagan; one son, Brian D. Godar, St. Louis, Mo.; two sisters, Melody (Mark) Remeta and Treva Budde, both of Long Point; one brother, David Budde, Oak Harbor, Wash.; and her two AFS intercultural program sisters, Rossy Pomaya de Garcia of Lima, Peru, and Katja Dachs, Germany.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Arlene was a graduate of Minonk-Dana-Rutland High School and Illinois Central College.

She was currently employed as a senior consultant for Trizetto Inc.

Arlene was a member of the Toastmasters International and Immanuel Lutheran Church in Minonk.
