Norman Francis Falk,, 79 - July 21, 2007

Norman Francis Falk, 79, of Minonk, died at 7:27 a.m. Saturday (July 21, 2007) at Heritage Manor, Minonk.

Norman was born Jan. 10, 1928, in Flanagan to Fred and Elsie Durre Falk. He married Marlene Vissering on Feb. 6, 1955, at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Minonk. She survives in Minonk. Also surviving are three sons, Brian Lee Falk and Bruce Dale (Wendy) Falk, both of Washburn; and Lyle Douglas Falk of Morton; two grandchildren, Kristen and Matthew Falk; and one sister, Doris Falk, Minonk. His parents preceded him in death.

Norman was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ and the Minonk American Legion. He was employed at Benson Elevator and later in the maintenance department at Heritage Manor, Minonk, retiring in 1990.

Norman served his county in the Korean War in the U.S. Army from February of 1951 to November of 1952. He reached the rank of sergeant.

His funeral will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Calvert & Froelich Memorial Home, Minonk. Mary Hartzler will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before the service. Burial will follow in Minonk Township Cemetery, Minonk. The Minonk American Legion will conduct military services. Memorials may be made to the Minonk Ambulance or the volunteers at Heritage Manor, Minonk.
