Pamela K. Evans, 64 - October 04, 2007

ROANOKE - Pamela K. Evans, 64, of 702 W. Front St., Roanoke, formerly of Minonk, passed away at 7:56 p.m. Thursday (Oct. 4, 2007) at her residence.

She was born Oct. 18, 1942, in Bloomington, a daughter of William and Norma Kalkwarf Turner. She married Thomas Marvin Evans on June 29, 1962, in Minonk. He survives.

Also surviving are her mother, Norma Turner, Minonk; two sons, Darren (Terri) Evans, El Paso, and Eric (Dawn) Evans, Minonk; one daughter, Stephanie (Dan) Myers, Roanoke; one brother, Terry (Joanie) Turner, Peoria; one sister, Myrna Havener, Normal; and nine grandchildren, Kayla, Megan, Allison, Thomas II, Haley, Adam, Abygail and Alysa Evans, and Zachary Myers.

She was preceded in death by her father, William Turner, and two children, Mark and Michelle.

Pam drove children to PARC from 1976-1979. From 1996-1999 she worked for Always Travel in Galesburg as a travel agent.

Pam was a member of Resurrection Lutheran Church, Bloomington. She was active in Bible study fellowship. She was a member of the Woodford County Republican Women and served as an election judge.

Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Resurrection Lutheran Church, Bloomington. The Rev. Mary Armstrong-Reiner will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Knapp-Johnson-Harris Funeral Home in Roanoke and for one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church. Committal services will be 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery in Benson.

Memorial contributions may be directed to a fund established for her grandchildren's education in care of El Paso Banking Center, 111 N. Fayette El Paso, Il 61738.
