Donna R. Eilts, 69, Florence, Ky., formerly of Minonk, died at 1:15 a.m. Tuesday (March 29, 2011) at Baptist Village Care Center, Erlanger, Ky.

Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home, Minonk, with the Rev. Richard Olson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Minonk Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Elizabeth Hospice, 483 S. Loop Drive, Edgewood, KY 41017, or the American Cancer Society.

She was born Dec. 9, 1941, in Bloomington, a daughter of Raymond and Irene Ruch Reed. She married Russell Eilts on Jan. 22, 1961, in Minonk. He survives.

Also surviving are her two daughters, Julie Eilts, St. Louis Park, Minn., and Arlene (Steve) Stricker, Florence, Ky.; two grandchildren, Aaron and Rhiannon Stricker; and one brother, Alvin (Carol) Reed, El Paso.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Donna was an executive secretary for State Farm Insurance Cos. for 24 years.

She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Peoria Chapter and the Boone County Chapter of Florence, Ky.
