Mary Rita Davis of Minonk died at 5:35 p.m. Monday (Dec. 12, 2005) at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Minonk.

A memorial Mass will be held at 6 p.m. Dec. 28, 2005, at St. Patrick'sCatholic Church, Minonk, with Father Deo Gratias Kiwanuka officiating.Cremation rites will be accorded. There will be a visitation from 4 to6 p.m. Dec. 28 at the church. Memorial contributions may be made toHeritage Manor Nursing Home, Minonk.

Calvert & Froelich Memorial Home, Minonk, is in charge of arrangements.

She was born on Sept. 30, 1916, in Toluca, the daughter of Andrew andJosephine Durham Tracey. She married Elmo Milton Davis on Feb. 27,1934. He died Dec. 29, 1985.

Surviving is a son, Richard T. (Maxine) Davis of Lexington; 10grandchildren, Luranne "Onnie" (Steve) Davis Beck, Kyle (Sue) Davis,Carey (Angie) Davis, Todd Davis, Sean Davis, Scott Davis, Ross Cumming,Tracey (Tom) Cumming Reed, Richard Meredith and Pricilla Meredith; 10great-grandchildren, Michael Meredith; Megan Knack; Erica, Emily andErin Davis; Karrissa Meredith; Jared and Allison Davis; and Zach andTrent Reed.

Also surviving are her son-in-law, Ron Cummings; two daughters-in-law,Patricia Davis and Dot Davis; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmo; a son, Gary; a daughter, Donna; and two brothers.

She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Minonk; the Altar& Rosary Society at the church; Tall Oaks Country Club; FortNightly Card Club in Minonk; and the Red Hat Society in Florida.

Mary Rita was a warm and loving mother, grandmother and friend. She hada great wit about her and a good heart. If she loved you, you knew it.We will miss her but celebrate the privilege of having her as our own.
