Gary D. Danbury, 62, died at 12:23 a.m., Tuesday, June 25, 2019, at his home in Minonk.

He was born Nov. 23, 1956, in Decatur, the son of William and Delores Frakes Danbury. He married Janet Frost on July 21, 2007, in Minonk. She survives.

Other survivors include his mother of Decatur; two sons, Timothy Danbury, Minonk and Tyler vonNordheim, Pattonsburg; four daughters, Leah (Brandon) Hartley, Kristin vonNordheim and Kimberly Turner, all of Minonk, and Laura Danbury, Sterling; 11 grandchildren and one sister, Carol (Tim) Wilcox, Decatur.

He was preceded in death by his father, one sister, Mary Haney, and two brothers, William Danbury and Terry Danbury.

Gary graduated from Stephen Decatur High School, Decatur, in 1974. He worked at SMF Inc., in Minonk for many years and also was self-employed in construction. Gary was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Minonk.

A celebration of life will be held Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m. at Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home in Pontiac. A private family graveside will be held at Minonk Township Cemetery in Minonk at a later date.
