Kay Cremer, 70 - March 26, 2010

BLOOMINGTON — Kay Cremer, 70, of Bloomington, formerly of Minonk, passed away on Friday evening, (March 26, 2010) at Heritage Manor, Normal.

Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home, 775 Chestnut St., Minonk, with the Rev. Ralph Wingate officiating.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Kibler-Smith Memorial Home, Bloomington, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home in Minonk.

Burial will be in the Minonk Township Cemetery, Minonk.

Kay was born Aug. 21, 1939, in Bloomington, a daughter of Orville Cyrus and Frances Mae Arnold Fosdick. For many years, she and her husband Donald farmed, and later Kay worked for the IRS as a secretary for 18 years before retiring in 2004. Kay was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Normal for many years; a volunteer at Ministry & More; and enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She was a devout Christian, strong in her faith and very active in her church. On June 1, 1958, Kay married Donald H. Cremer in Flanagan. He preceded her in death on Feb. 24, 2005.

Kay is survived by two children, Brenda (Michael) Fogarty, Houston; and Brian (Sherry) Cremer, Bloomington; four grandchildren, Nicholas Fogarty and Rachel, Hannah and Austin Cremer; a brother, Lyle (Louise) Fosdick, Rocky Mount, N.C.; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald; and three brothers, Kenneth, Lynn and Harold Fosdick.
