Dennis G. Cremer, 65, of 612 Washington St. Minonk, died at 10:31 a.m. Saturday (Jan. 5, 2008) at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.

A private family service will be Wednesday at Calvert & Froelich Memorial Home, Minonk, with the Rev. Daniel Gansch-Boythe officiating. Cremation rites were accorded. Burial will follow at Minonk Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Paul's United Church of Christ or to the family to be used according to their wishes.

He was born June 8, 1942, in Streator, the son of Folkert and Anna Ruestman Cremer. He married Diana L. Von Behren on Dec. 12, 1965, in Benson. She survives along with four children, Darren (Tracy) Cremer, Douglas (Nina) Cremer and Derek Cremer, all of Minonk; and Deanna (Brian) Decker, Dana; one brother, Duane (Chris) Cremer, Lacon; and five grandchildren.

Dennis was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Minonk, and worked as a supervisor at Metatec in Lacon. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
