Raymond H. "Red" Cremeens, 89 - December 22, 2007

FLANAGAN -- Raymond H. "Red" Cremeens, 89, of 305 E. Koopman Drive, Flanagan, passed away at 1:15 p.m. Saturday (Dec. 22, 2007) at The Good Samaritan Home, Flanagan.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home, Minonk. Burial will be in Olio Township Cemetery, Eureka. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

"Red" was born Sept. 22, 1918, in Eureka, a son of Josiah and Alma Harms Cremeens.

He married Virginia R. Henderson on April 12, 1941, in Eureka. She survives.

Other survivors include a daughter, Janet Hall, Littleton, Colo.; two sons, Donald J. (Jean) Cremeens, Germantown Hills; and Gerald D. (Carolyn) Cremeens, Pontiac; six grandchildren, Donna Roberts, Juli Schuett, Mark Cremeens, Dawn Brockhouse, Jerry Lynn Watson and Jason Cremeens; 12 great-grandchildren; one sister, Theda Kissel, Saddle Brook, N.J.; two brothers, Joseph "Dick" (June) Cremeens, Orange Park, Fla., and Gene A. (Sandra) Cremeens, El Campo, Texas; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by three sisters, Lucille Johnson, June Tedford and Ruth Waters.

Ray spent most of his life in Livingston and Woodford counties farming. His hard work and love of farming kept him working until the age of 81. He also worked at Caterpillar and Libby's prior to farming for 55 years.
