Marifrances Butera, 85 - April 04, 2010

Marifrances Butera, 85, of Huntsville, passed away Sunday.  Mrs. Butera grew up in Ft. Worth, Texas where she was surrounded by the love of her family.  She went to Our Lady of Victory Girl’s Academy in Ft. Worth and St. Paul’s Hospital School of Radiology and was a radiology technician.  In life, her dedication and love of her family, as well as her love of music, brought her the most joy.  She was a devout Christian and a friend to all.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Dominic Valentino; second husband, Nicholas John Butera and two sons, Christopher Gerard and Joseph Alan Butera.

            Survivors include daughter, Kathryn Murray and husband, Eric, of Huntsville; sons, Daniel Valentino and wife, Wanda, of Forney, TX, John Anthony Butera of Denton, TX, Nicholas Butera of Chicago, IL and Randall Butera and wife, Carol, of Aurora, IL; grandchildren, Nicole, Renee and Christopher Murray, all of Huntsville, and John, Nicky and Danielle Valentino, all of Dallas, TX; eight great-grandchildren and beloved pet, Bitsy.

            Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Laughlin Service Funeral Home, Huntsville, AL with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. and from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Calvert-Froelich Memorial Home, Minonk, IL with a rosary at 7:00 p.m.  The funeral mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Minonk, IL.  Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Minonk, IL.
