WASHINGTON - Ron L. Bryson, 68, of Washington died unexpectedly at his home on Monday, Nov. 2, 2009.

Ron was born on Oct. 7, 1941, in Washburn to Carl and Georgetta Fewell Bryson. He married Joyce McBride in Peoria on Feb. 14, 1986.

Survivors include his wife; three children, Jeremy (Rebecca) Hockenbury of Florida, Sheila Hockenbury of Florida and Joshua (Rhonda) Hockenbury of Peoria; and three grandchildren, Izac, Cazi and Shelby.

Ron was preceded in death by one son, Ronnie Jr.; his aunt, Hazel Witvoet; his parents; and one brother.

Ron had been a self-employed contractor.

Ron was loved by his family and friends. His passing has saddened the hearts and lives of those he touched.

At Ron's request, a private celebration of life will be held at a later date. The family will receive friends on Friday, Nov. 6, from 3 to 5 p.m. at 402 E. Lancaster in Washington. Assisting the family in arrangements is Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington.
