Sharon Lee Bolton, 61, Farmington, N.M., formerly of Minonk, died at 9:40 a.m. Tuesday (Oct. 17, 2006) at San Juan Regional Medical Center in Farmington, N.M.

Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Calvert & Froelich Memorial Home, Minonk, with the Rev. Richard Olson officiating. Burial will follow at Minonk Township Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Monday at the memorial home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

She was born Oct. 4, 1945, in Streator, the daughter of Ira Franklin and Mildred Lucile Jury Dooley Jr.

Surviving is her mother, Mildred Dooley, and her sister, Patty Jo Dooley-Jones, both of Rock Island; and a nephew, Lucas Jones, and a niece, Maggie Jones, both of Rock Island.

She was preceded in death by her father, a brother and two infant sisters.

Sharon was a graduate of Minonk-Dana-Rutland High school and Illinois State University. She taught elementary school for over 30 years in Illinois, New Mexico and Arizona. Her hobbies included quilting, collecting glassware and baking.
