Elaine J. Barth, 63, Minonk, passed away at 1:26 a.m. Wednesday (Sept. 30, 2009) at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.

Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Minonk. Pastor Daniel Gansch-Boythe will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home, Minonk, and one hour prior to the service at the church. A private family burial will be at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Woodford County Beef Improvement Association, the American Cancer Society or St. Paul's United Church of Christ.

She was born Feb. 16, 1946, in Streator, a daughter of Gaylord and Dorothy Hansen Craig. She married Jerry D. Barth on Aug. 9, 1964, in Toluca. He survives.

Also surviving are her mother, Dorothy Craig, Minonk; two sons, Tom (Shelly) Barth, Minonk, and Kurt (Becca) Barth, Washington; two daughters, Tiffany Barth, Washburn, and Kim Barth, Minonk; eight grandchildren, Jerrod Barth, Jacob Barth, Ryan Barth, Drew Barth, Caleb Barth, Kaden Barth, Brayson Barth and Kamille Barth; three brothers, Raymond (Diana) Craig, Varna; Wayne (Peggy) Craig, Washburn; and Gene (Connie) Craig, Toluca; one sister, Virginia (Marion) Modro, Toluca; and one sister-in-law, Francie Barth, Minonk.

She was preceded in death by her father.

She worked as a custodian at St. Paul's United Church of Christ.

Elaine was a member of the Antioch Christian Church in Toluca. She attended St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Minonk, where she taught Sunday school. She also volunteered as a 4-H leader.

She loved to snowmobile, raise and show her cows, and her John Deere tractor.
