Roberta F. Barth, 91, Minonk, passed away at 4:50 p.m. Tuesday (June 15, 2010) at Snyder Village Health Center, Metamora.

Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Minonk. The Rev. Jan Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Minonk Township Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home, Minonk, and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church.

Memorial contributions in Roberta’s name may be made to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Benson, or St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Minonk.

She was born April 3, 1919, in Benson, a daughter of John C. and Hilda Redenius Meinhold. She married Robert M. Barth on April 9, 1939, in Minonk. He survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Jeri Sue (Randy) Johnson, Minonk, and Jo Ann (Robert) Fichter, Evanston; four grandchildren, Brian Johnson, Bettendorf, Iowa; Kimberly Johnson, Central City, Colo.; Noah Fichter, Portland, Ore.; and Luke Fichter, Eagle Lake, Wis.; and three great-grandchildren, Anna and Drew Johnson and Cameron Fichter.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Emmett and Milford Meinhold.

Roberta was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Minonk, Yankeetown Home Extension and a charter member of Town and Country Home Extension.
