Stanley Harold Bane, 63 - February 17, 2006

WASHINGTON - Stanley Harold Bane, 63, of 2 Kara Court, Washington, diedpeacefully Friday (Feb. 17, 2006) at the Rochester Methodist Hospitalat Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn.

Hewas born on July 12, 1942, in Streator to Raymond H. and MargaretBelcher Bane. He married Carol McCann in Peoria. She survives.

Alsosurviving are three sons, Stanley Bane II of Washington, Kirk(Christine) Bane of Springfield, Mo., and Brett (DeLene) Bane ofMorton; three daughters, Jonna (Cary) Dalaskey of Aliso Viejo, Calif.,Susie (Mark) Reeves of Longview, Texas, and Kirsten (Dustin) Essig ofWashington; and grandchildren, Brenton, Sara, Brady, Winston, Oliver,Sydney and Michael.

He attended Eureka College, BradleyUniversity and graduated from Midstate College. He retired fromCaterpillar Tractor Co, where he was a division manager ofTelecommunications World Wide. He was a member of St. Mark's LutheranChurch in Washington. He also was a University of Illinois mastergardener, a member of the Taylor Masonic Lodge 98 in Washington, theMohammed Temple and Scottish Rite Bodies AF &AM Valley of Peoria,and also was a member of the Elks Lodge in Peoria.

Stan was aloving husband and enjoyed spending time with his children andgrandchildren. He also enjoyed boating, gardening, spending time inFlorida, and was an avid car enthusiast. He will be greatly missed.

Aservice will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mark's Lutheran Church inWashington. Pastor John N. Bates will officiate. Visitation will befrom 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Deiters Funeral Home in Washington, withadditional visitation one hour prior to the service Wednesday at thechurch. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery in Washington.
