Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Cornell Lutheran Church, Cornell, with the Rev. Edward Hudelson officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the church in Cornell and one hour prior to the service Saturday. Burial will be in Cornell Cemetery, Cornell. Memorials may be made to the Cornell Lutheran Church or to a charity of the donor's choice

Doris was born Feb. 16, 1931, in Hudson, a daughter of John Handley and Bessie Rush. She married Clifford D. Bachman on July 7, 1951, in Arkansas. He survives in Cornell.

She is also survived by son, Keith ( Tamara ) Bachman, Cornell; sister, Mary Jansen, Minonk; sisters-in-law Darlene Handley, Flanagan; and Julie Coye, Sparks, Nev.; three grandchildren, Ashley Bachman, Brendan Bachman and Kyle Bachman; and great-grandchild, Jadyn Bohm.

She was proceeded by both parents, two brothers, Carl Handley and Garvin Handley.

Doris was a member of Cornell Lutheran Church in Cornell.

She was a homemaker and a 1949 graduate of Minonk High School.

Mrs. Bachman was a foster parent for many children throughout her life and enjoyed being around children and spending time with her grandchildren.
