Velma B. "Granny" Klendworth, 94, of Minonk, passed away at 9:12 a.m. Wednesday (July 22, 2015) at her residence.

Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home, Minonk. Her visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Dana Cemetery.

She was born Jan. 17, 1921, in Minonk, the daughter of John and Mathilda Hecht Smith. She married Roy Klendworth on March 17, 1940, in Minonk. She and Roy farmed in the Dana area until they moved to Minonk in 1984. Roy preceded her in death in 2000.

Surviving are her children, Leroy (Laura) Klendworth, Independence, Iowa; Sally (Ron) Seggerman, Minonk; Jack (Lois) Klendworth, Minonk; seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; four stepgreat-grandchildren; eight stepgreat-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Oakley "Barney" Smith, Flanagan.

She was preceded in death by four brothers, one grandson, one great-grandson and one stepgranddaughter.
