Richard A. Park, 67

Richard A. Park, 67, of 527 Lincoln St., Minonk, died at 9:30 a.m. Saturday (June 21, 2003) at his residence.

His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, with the Rev. Daniel Gansch-Boythe officiating. Burial will follow in Minonk Township Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Monday until the time of the service at the church. Calvert & Froelich Memorial home, Minonk, is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to OSF Saint James Hospice, Pontiac.

He was born Nov. 12, 1935, in Bloomington, a son of Raymond A. and Ruth M. Barth Park.

Survivors include four children, Jerome L. Park; Christine A. Flahaven; Richard R. Park; and Lori Newhall, all of Minonk; his mother, Ruth Park, Minonk; 11 grandchildren; and a sister, Bonnie Wagner, Benson.

He was preceded in death by his father; three granddaughters; and a brother.

Mr. Park was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ and was a former member of the church council. He founded PDV Cartage and operated that company for 20 years. He was a volunteer with the Minonk Food Pantry.
