Ira E. McKinney, 91 Ira E. McKinney, 91, of Country Residence, Davenport, Iowa, formerly of Minonk, died at 5:50 a.m. Saturday (June 7, 2003) at Genesis West Hospital, Davenport. His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Calvert & Froelich Memorial Home, Minonk, the Rev. Connie Jenkins officiating. Burial will be in Minonk Township Cemetery. Visitation will be for one hour before the service Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to United Methodist Church, Minonk. Ira was born Aug. 1, 1911, in Essex, Mo., a son of Lum and Mary Daviddson McKinney. He married Beulah Land on June 7, 1936, in Dana. She died Dec. 20, 2000. Survivors include one son, Milton (Gloria) McKinney, Coal Valley; one granddaughter, Allison (Brian) Goodwin; and one great-grandson, Adam Goodwin. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Eva Renken and Nell Wilson. Ira was a member of United Methodist Church, Minonk. He and his wife owned and operated McKinney Welding Shop in Minonk for 42 years.
