In other business, the council approved a survey of Section 6 which divides the property into 6 tracts prior to the sale of the land in sealed bids. The tracts are defined as follows:

purposes. Tract 5 surrounds Tract 4
and includes the Jumbo which will become part of the future Nature Trail.
27.26 acres
Tract 6
Farm Ground to be sold by sealed bid, 564.98 acres
City Administrator Doug Elder said the City will waive the requirements that apply for subdivision planning which means this property does not need a preliminary or final draft. In addition, development does no have to be started within 180 days of the purchase of the land.
Mayor Bill Koos said the property will still be in a TIF district for a few more years and is also zoned as commercial. The Mayor said there has been much interest expressed in the sale of Section 6 through email correspondence and phone calls. The deadline for the sealed bids to purchase Tract 6 in Section 6 is 4:00 pm on January 18th.
The Mayor reminded those who are invited to the annual recognition dinner on January 8th at Pop's to send in their replies and wished everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy and safe New Year.
