Mayor's Comments

• Remind people about blowing grass clippings onto the street and the sidewalks. With the recent rains it becomes pretty self-evident as to why you do not want those grass clippings washing down into the street and into the sewer. Please blow the clippings back into you yard.

• We are still in the process of trying to get the redevelopment agreement signed with the racetrack developer. It is a slow process, but we are making progress and it is moving forward. Hopefully we are not going to be to much longer on this matter. We are taking it step by step to insure what we are doing is correct.

• As for the Police Chief applications, the Public Safety Committee will now screen the applicants and the interview process will begin soon. It will be a lengthy process.

Public Comments

Gene Oncken of 146 South Elm Street thanked the City for all the hard work it did in getting his street light fixed. He also said that since the council is having about 10 to 15 minute meetings that it would be wise and economically sound to go back to one meeting a month. "The last few months you have been doing nothing except just going through and paying the bills. You are wasting a lot of money."
