Comments log for user ID PS1968 News Subject: City replaces curb side recyling with central recycling bin - 05/11/2008 - I think we should have been notified prior to recycle pickup being suspended. I have witnessed Tomlinsons not really recycling,but throwing the "red bin" items in the back of the garbage truck. I have lived in Minonk all of my life. I can remember ,as a kid,having a small "hut-type" building in the parking lot across from the police station. It was in here we placed newspapers and glass(brown & green as well as clear). Great concept except even back then somebody decided to deposit other "unacceptable" items in this "hut". It was then removed. Do you not think that this will be an issue since everyone is so upset??
