Obituary for HermanA. Knack

Herman A. Knack, 81, of 127 W. First St., Minonk, died at 12:30 a.m. Tuesday (Nov. 24,1998) at Heritage Manor of Minonk.

His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Minonk, the Rev. Faye Buttrick officiating. Burial will be in Minonk Township Cemetery. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church. Folkers-Froelich Memorial Home, Minonk, is in charge offuneral arrangements.

Memorials may be made to St. Paul's United Church of Christ.

Mr. Knack was born Aug. 4, 1917, in rural Dana, LaSalle County, a son of August and Bertha May Knack. He married Dorothy Theil on Oct. 15, 1938. She died Sept. 2, 1992. He married Patsy Bullock McAvoy on March 13, 1974. She survives.

Other survivors include one daughter, Marjorie (Julius) Folkerts, Benson; six sons, Harold (Carolyn) Knack, El Paso; Donald (Debra) Knack, Phoenix, Ariz.; Dale (Mary) Knack and Ronald Knack, all of Flanagan; Dean (Nancy) Knack, Minonk; and Marvin Knack, Gridley; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

His parents, five brothers and one sister preceded him in death.
